About Ray Matsen

Ray Matsen is a TV comedy writer, producer, animator and (was) a stand-up comedian. He spent four years as Head Writer on the Australian talk and variety show Rove and two seasons as Head Writer on Adam Hills In Gordon St Tonight. He has also written for many Australian TV sketch shows and for The Chaser Annual. See full list of TV credits here.

He has written and performed in six Melbourne International Comedy Festival shows and in 2001 co-wrote and performed in Brian Munich & Friends which won the 2001 Age Newspapers Critics Award and the 2001 Barry Award for best show of the festival.

He has also written for the popular ABC panel quiz show Spicks & Specks, produced and directed a web series, The Johnny Cant Function, and wrote and produced animation for the  ABC3 kids sketch show You’re Skitting Me . He was also co-Head Writer on that series. Recently Ray has written on the new ABC1 comedy series Problems with Sam Simmons and is currently co-Head Writer on series 2 of You’re Skitting Me.
